Multipoint Locking Solution Supports PAS 24 Testing for Heritage Aluminium Doors
Hardware distributor Carl F Groupco has supported the successful PAS 24 security testing of Jack Aluminium’s new SD70 heritage door system, working alongside Jack Aluminium and locking hardware manufacturer Fuhr.
The project integrated Fuhr’s multisafe 856 multipoint door lock, which features four mushroom rollers with hardened steel cams. The locking system was tailored to fit the door’s specific design requirements, including the space behind its floating mullion.
To validate compatibility before final testing, the teams used early-stage prototyping, 3D modelling and 3D-printed components to check fit and operation. This collaborative process helped ensure that the hardware met the door system’s functional and security requirements.
The project highlights the importance of early hardware integration and system-level testing in developing secure, design-led door solutions, particularly for heritage-style aluminium doors.
