ULTRALOQ Launches Next-Generation Smart Locks with UWB and Digital Wallet Access
ULTRALOQ has launched a new generation of smart locks, introducing three models—Bolt Mission, Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro—with a stronger focus on hands-free access and digital credentials. The launch was reported by Residential Systems on September 28 and further covered by TWICE on October 1.
The Bolt Mission is the highlight of the new lineup. It combines Bluetooth Low Energy, Ultra-Wideband (UWB), radar-based presence sensing and local decision logic to determine whether an authorized user is actually approaching the door. This allows the lock to unlock hands-free without requiring users to open an app or enter a PIN.
The Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro take a different approach, supporting Aliro-certified digital keys through Apple Wallet and Samsung Wallet. All three models are also Matter Certified, while Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro support Samsung SmartThings integration.
The launch reflects a broader shift in smart access: instead of simply adding more unlocking methods, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on context-aware access, digital credentials and interoperability across smart-home ecosystems.
