Turkey Launches 4th Sunset Review on Chinese Door Locks, Exporters Urged to Stay Alert

On March 23, 2026, the Ministry of Trade of Türkiye issued Announcement No. 2026/8. Upon application by Turkish domestic producers, it initiated the fourth anti-dumping sunset review investigation into cylindrical door locks, locks for refrigeration appliances and lock parts originating in China (excluding electromechanical locks, electromagnetic locks and fully electronic locks).

The announcement entered into force on the date of issuance.

Policy Interpretation

Sunset review refers to a review conducted upon the expiration of anti-dumping measures to determine whether anti-dumping duties should be maintained.

This marks the fourth sunset review by Türkiye on Chinese door locks, indicating that such trade remedy measures have been in place for many years.

Products covered: cylindrical door locks, locks for refrigeration appliances and lock parts. Electromechanical locks, electromagnetic locks and fully electronic locks are not included in the scope.

Suggestions for Enterprises

Door lock exporters to Türkiye should closely monitor the progress of the investigation.

Prepare relevant export data and supporting materials in advance.

Consider optimizing product structure and prioritizing the development of excluded categories such as electromechanical locks and fully electronic locks.
