Notice on the 2025 4th Smart Lock Industry Full Supply Chain Forum

According to the latest data released by RUNTO Technology's authoritative report "China Smart Lock Retail Market Monthly Tracker", the total smart lock sales across all channels in China reached 4.07 million units in Q1 2025, marking a 5.4% year-on-year increase. This reflects the industry’s continued growth in scale. However, beneath this momentum lies a more complex reality: weakening demand in the B-end project market, intensifying price wars across the entire supply chain, and the gradual lowering of technical thresholds due to supply chain maturity. These factors are driving accelerated industry fragmentation, signaling a shift from an “incremental growth phase” to a “stock competition phase.”

On pricing, the average online selling price has dropped below RMB 1,000. In Q1 2025, the overall online average was RMB 800. Traditional e-commerce platforms have seen prices stay under RMB 1,000 for three consecutive months, with March reaching as low as RMB 904. Emerging platforms dropped even further to below RMB 700, pushing price competition to a fever pitch. This is due to weakening consumer confidence, stagnant income and employment expectations, and downstream supply chain-driven cost compression by manufacturers.

The smart lock industry in 2025 faces a “triple squeeze” dilemma:

The real estate market’s ongoing downturn has slashed demand for pre-installed smart locks in new developments.

Consumer market confidence remains low, suppressing both replacement and new purchase needs.

Intensifying internal competition has led to product homogeneity, fierce price wars, and channel inefficiencies.

Meanwhile, escalating U.S. tariffs are increasing export costs and creating new barriers for overseas market expansion—placing the industry in a period of deep adjustment.

In this context, the urgent questions are:

  • How can the industry break through its growth bottleneck?

  • How can we rebuild the value of the supply chain?

  • How can new markets be tapped?

To explore answers to these questions, the 2025 4th Smart Lock Full Supply Chain Forum, co-hosted by Wenzhou Hardware Chamber of Commerce, Zhejiang Donnor International Exhibition Co., Ltd., and Lock World, will take place on May 28, 2025, during the China (Wenzhou) International Hardware & Intelligent Lock Fair. The forum will gather industry experts, leading brands, core supply chain enterprises, and regional distributors to dive into industry trends, technical innovations, case studies, and resource matchmaking—unlocking new momentum for the high-quality development of the entire smart lock ecosystem.
