Should the fully automatic intelligent lock quick release handle be retained?

Nowadays, fully automatic smart locks are becoming increasingly popular among consumers - automatically locking the door and unlocking it upon successful recognition, making them a hot spot in the smart lock market; In addition, in the eyes of many consumers, the appearance of fully automatic smart locks is more fashionable and atmospheric, which has also become one of the factors that consumers choose fully automatic smart locks.

However, recently many locksmiths and dealers have been discussing the question of whether fully automatic smart locks without quick opening handles can be sold indoors?

The world of door locks has randomly asked many smart lock practitioners about this issue, and most people believe that the biggest advantage of fully automatic smart lock indoor quick opening handles is that when going out, you can gently rotate the handle to open the door, and when closing the door, you can also choose the handle to lock it back; In addition, quick opening handles are generally purely mechanical in structure, with higher stability than electronic door buttons, which means they are less prone to malfunctions and more convenient to escape in emergency situations such as fires.

At present, there are mainly two types of fully automatic smart locks:

One type is a push-pull fully automatic intelligent lock with a fully automatic lock body, which originated in South Korea. In fact, early fully automatic intelligent locks equipped with fully automatic electronic lock bodies retained the push-pull handle structure, which is also a pure mechanical structure with very high stability. When opening the door, only the push-pull handle is needed.

Later, major manufacturers gradually abandoned the design of push-pull structures and replaced it with fixed handles, adding sensing devices on the handles to sense the opening of the door. Of course, currently equipped with fully automatic lock bodies, in addition to sensing handles, fully automatic intelligent locks also reserve a purely mechanical door opening knob. However, some people believe that the mechanical knob does not have a push-pull structure, and the handle is convenient to use, especially in emergency situations where the door opening and escape may not necessarily be able to locate the knob position in the first place.

Another type is the fully automatic intelligent lock with an external motor. This type of fully automatic intelligent lock has a simple structure, and the ordinary lock body can also achieve fully automatic unlocking. In terms of cost, it is lower than the fully automatic intelligent lock equipped with a fully automatic lock body; More importantly, the research and development threshold must be low, as not all manufacturers can produce fully automatic lock bodies.

Throughout, having a quick opening handle has been an advantage of an external motor fully automatic intelligent lock. But nowadays, many manufacturers have eliminated the quick release handle in order to achieve front and rear symmetry or to make the door lock look more beautiful. Instead, they have replaced it with a mechanical lock knob, which is used to deliver induction switches, electronic door opening buttons, etc., making the fully automatic intelligent lock look taller.

Nowadays, many smart lock dealers and locksmiths are discussing whether smart locks without indoor quick release handles can be sold. On the one hand, it is about the convenience of opening the door, and on the other hand, it is about quick evacuation. So, many dealers and locksmiths have made it clear that fully automatic smart locks without quick release handles will not be sold.
