On December 13, 2023, the Safety and Police Electronic Product Quality Testing Center of the Ministry of Public Security held a national standard "Lock Safety Technical Requirements Part 2: Anti theft Locks" standard seminar at the Futian Laboratory in Shenzhen. More than 40 representatives from 20 units, including the testing center, Kaidi Shi, Desman, Luke, Bull, Green Rice, National Technology, Huawei, Xiaomi, Assa Abloy, and Manshen, attended the conference.

At the meeting, Kong Yaohui, Deputy Director of the Testing Center, introduced the work of the standard preparation group since the last seminar and the progress of the center's work on statistical analysis of the implementation of national mandatory standards (security prevention). The attending representatives had a thorough discussion and exchange on the structure of mechanical anti-theft locks, information security requirements, durability requirements, and other related topics.

In order to meet the comprehensive security requirements of anti-theft locks in the information age and further standardize testing technology, the National Standards Committee has issued a plan for the preparation of the national standard "Lock Safety Technical Requirements Part 2: Anti theft Locks", with the testing center as the leading unit to organize the standard preparation work. As of now, the draft of the standard for soliciting opinions has been made public online by the National Standards Commission. The center held this discussion meeting with the aim of collecting industry feedback information from all aspects and laying the foundation for standard formulation. Next, the drafting team will carefully review and research, actively adopt opinions and suggestions, organize and complete experimental demonstrations as soon as possible, and improve standard clauses to ensure the scientific, effective, and operable content of the standards.
